Business & Trade Protection Program
is a charitable initiative under ACACF Goal 1, focused on leveling the playing field for businesses and fully aligned with the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). It is dedicated to promoting lawful, transparent, and accountable regulatory practices and reduce abuse of authority and corruption-related risks while strengthening trust between the public and private sectors through advocating anti-corruption reforms, awareness-raising, monitoring of public services, denunouncing bribery, and facilitation of support mechanisms.
The Program aims to It works collaboratively with government institutions, regulatory institutions, trade and industry bodies, businesses of all sizes, and the associated innocent prisoners, labor and consumer/general public as beneficiaries.
Recognizing businesses and traders as the backbone of the economy — yet are often the most vulnerable to regulatory abuse, corruption, and unfair enforcement — specifically investors, exporters, importers, manufacturers, traders, and real estate developers and stakeholders in the country.
The Program addresses challenges arising from limited resources, weak grievance mechanisms, and restricted access to legal protection, often lead to severe financial losses, socio-economic distress, and sustained social pressure, forcing some individuals and families into compelled migration abroad and, in extreme cases, placing them at risk of serious distress and self-harm.
In line with UNCAC principles of prevention, accountability, transparency, and access to justice — Supporting this community reduces corruption risks, strengthens market integrity, promotes fair competition, and delivers broad public benefits aligned with SDG 16 and UNCAC commitments.
